Just what is InWords?
"Sticks and stones may break my bones,
but words will never hurt me."
We heard this as we grew up, but we've since learned that this is not true. Unkind words can hurt....deeply.
And powerful words can empower.
Just one powerful word, think of it as a key, can be all it takes to open the door and allow in new thoughts and ideas, to get you moving in the right direction again. InWords is a deck of cards, each with one word and a descriptive phrase, designed to be keys to open that door.
You are always given an answer when you ask a question. The answer can come in many forms, and these cards are helpful in getting you to look at your situation from a different and fresh perspective. Some people may think of InWords as a game, which is one way of looking at it. However, there is much wisdom to be gleaned in using the cards as tools.
And InWords is a powerful tool. Each card has just one word on it, with a simple, thought-provoking sentence to help take you deeper into the meaning of the word. The answer is always available to you, but it may take a bit of searching to help you see or hear it. You chose a particular card because there is an answer in it for you.
There are 40 cards, and therefore 40 words, in the deck. They are business card-size, so you can carry them in your purse or briefcase.
Because InWords was developed from my knowledge of feng shui, it was only natural that they be wrapped in feng shui energy, in this case the Five Elements of Water (waterfall), Wood (column representing growth energy), Fire (fire), Earth (daisies on a hill), and Metal (shield).
It is considered auspicious and powerful energy to place all five of these elements together in one place. I believe this enhances the synergy of the words inside.
You can also use them every day, simply by asking a "what do you want me to know today?" type question. The word you choose will help give you insight to situations that arise as you go through your day.
