Earth in feng shui is the ground we stand on, and it is used for just that - grounding energy.  It is used when something need stability and connection to purpose.  The shapes are things square or rectanular.  Because we are beings of the earth, the primary color is love - love of nature and others.  Other colors are browns, rust and taupe.
